Base4 has developed a completely novel chemistry which releases nucleotides from DNA and generates a bright fluorescent signal from each individual nucleotide, allowing us to detect them with impressive accuracy.We are seeking creative, ambitious biochemists to join our development team to work on careful optimisation of this new sequencing chemistry as well as on extending its capabilities beyond the detection of the four common DNA bases.You will ideally be qualified to PhD level with a strong background in enzymology and molecular biology. The role requires a mastery of standard molecular biology techniques, plus an ability and interest in applying them in unusual or novel ways. The ideal candidate would have experience in at least some of the following areas:
